First, a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the Arboretum market this weekend. To sweet friends who stopped by, the new people I met throughout the day, and even those of you who couldn’t make it but sent encouraging texts, messages, and “you’ve got this” energy from afar… thank you.
It was my very first market for The Daily Wild and while there were definitely moments of improvising (hello, wind), it ended up being such a meaningful day. I got to hear your stories, watch people connect with the animals, and have so many conversations about creativity, nature, intuition, and the projects we feel called to begin.
If you’re new to the Weekly Wild newsletter, welcome. I’m really glad you found your way here. You can learn more about The Daily Wild here and you can also read last week’s message featuring Meerkat, all about shared support, community, and letting yourself exhale a little.
Also… I LOVE seeing your daily card pulls. Seriously, keep them coming. Seeing the animals and messages that are finding people has become one of my favorite parts of this whole thing. I’m including a little anonymous collage of some recent favorites below.
One thing that stood out to me at the market was how many people shared ideas, dreams, and passion projects they’ve either recently started or have been quietly thinking about starting for a long time. And that’s where this week’s animal comes in.
This week’s message is the little nudge someone out there needs to begin imperfectly, adapt as they go, and trust that small steps really do build momentum.

LESSONS FROM THE WILD
Steady effort will see you through.

CROW
This week’s featured animal is the Crow and honestly, I can’t think of a more fitting guide for this moment.
Saturday was my very first artisan market with The Daily Wild and while it was exciting, it definitely wasn’t perfect. The wind was way stronger than expected, displays had to be adjusted on the fly (see what I did there!), packaging shifted around, and there were plenty of little moments where we had to stop, rethink, and figure it out as we went.
And strangely, that felt exactly like the lesson. Crows are incredibly intelligent and resourceful birds. They study problems. They work with what’s available. They adjust instead of abandoning the path altogether. That resilience is part of what makes them so fascinating.
I think a lot of us wait until we feel fully ready before we begin something. We wait for the perfect plan, the perfect timing, or the confidence that everything will work exactly the way we imagined. But progress rarely works like that.
Sometimes momentum is built through small adjustments. Through trying again. Through solving one problem at a time. Through continuing even when conditions aren’t ideal. That’s what Crow reminds me of right now.
Small steps count. Small corrections count. Consistent effort matters more than most people realize.
Looking back, the market wasn’t successful because everything went smoothly. It was successful because I showed up, adapted, learned, connected with people, and kept going.
Maybe there’s something in your life asking for that same kind of steady persistence right now too?
Wild Prompt: What have I been wanting to start that only needs movement, not perfection?
Your Daily Wild Experiment
Each week in this space, you’ll get something to try, a simple way to connect more deeply to the wild all around you.
Here’s this week’s Daily Wild Experiment.
Choose one small thing you’ve been putting off and take a step anyway, even if it’s messy, unfinished, or uncertain.
This week, notice where you’ve been waiting for perfect conditions before taking action. and pay attention to how often nature adapts in real time. Birds change direction mid-flight. Trees bend with the wind. Water reroutes around obstacles.
The wild keeps moving, you can too.
I’d Love To Hear From You.
As we build this community, I would love more than anything to hear from you. What’s landing? What did you notice this week? What do you want more of? Just reply to this email and let me know.
There is so much more to come in the next few weeks and months and I’ll share it all with you here.
I would also love it if you would help me grow and share the subscribe link with friends you think would enjoy The Daily Wild.
